- Work respectfully and constructively with others to achieve common goals - Recognize the importance of learning in their lives and future careers

Hello......here is an article on home reading. Its great to have our students read everyday. Our goal is long term.....to have reading be a life long choice. I encourage students to take a book home from the "SAD BOOKS" library everyday!
1. Connect and engage with others
I ask and respond to simple, direct questions. I am an active listener; I support and encourage the person speaking. I recognize that there are different points-of-view and I can disagree respectfully. 2. Communicate using letters and words and applying some conventions of Canadian spelling, grammar, and punctuation (We will concentrate on this throughout the year in most of our subject areas. There will be writing and reading opportunities in all subject areas) This week we will begin working in our printing books. As with most curricular goals in this K/1 class, Grade one students will work at their own level and K students will do the same. |
